It was a December to remember for thousands of Lagosians who thronged the beach front of Hard Rock Café Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday night December 10 for the much publicized concert featuring Nigeria’s music rave of the moment and Pepsi music ambassadors, Wizkid, and Tiwa Savage, and others like Wande Coal.
With notable Nigerian DJs such as DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Neptune, DJ Spinall, DJ Big N on the console, the event which was part of Pepsi’s “ NoShakinCarryGoDesembaa” campaign lived up to the billing. After the pumping up of the crowd the DJs, Mr. Eazi was the first main act of the night.
He worked up the crowd with his very popular tunes including Sample You. Next was Wande Coal, which is a bridge between the old and the new. His energy was electric as he pounced the perimeter of the stage. He was well appreciated by the crowd as he sang hit after hit from his rich repertoire.
Tiwa Savage was obviously the queen of the night. Dressed in creamy short gown, she dazzled with Kaffy and her dancers complementing with breath taking choreography.
By the time she wound up with “All Over” her popular song now making waves, the crowd did not agree with the ordinary interpretation. How can it be all over when they were waiting for Wizkid.
Then like a heavy weight champion entering the ring, the Starboy was ushered into the stage. He was dressed in red top with red scarf tied round his head. The crowd went wild. They were ecstatic on seeing Wizkid who just won the prestigious MOBO awards.
