Telegram has received a new update which bumps it to version 4.8 and adds two major features that allows you stream media without downloading the video first, and auto night mode. This update is coming a month after the previous version 4.7 was released.
This new Telegram Media Streaming feature lets users start watching received videos without waiting for them to be downloaded.
Their closest rival—WhatsApp already integrated this feature sometimes last year, so i'm not wrong to say Telegram coped this from them.
Also on the list of added features is the auto night mode. With it, you can choose your favorite dark theme and instruct the app to switch to it after sunset or in low-light environments.
This feature is currently active on the Android version of Telegram, and can be accessed via Settings » Theme » Auto-Night Mode. Once set, it automatically switches to the dark version of the interface after nightfall or in low-light conditions.
Additionally, there is a new Login widget which allows users to sign in to other websites and services using your Telegram account.
